Job description

Purpose of the position

The purpose of this position is to support the ESG Reporting team in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into financial reporting processes. The working student will contribute to the collection, analysis, and presentation of ESG-related data, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and internal sustainability goals. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of finance and sustainability, helping to drive transparency and accountability in corporate ESG performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of ESG-related financial reports and disclosures

  • Assist in data collection, validation, and analysis for ESG metrics

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Controlling, Sustainability, Opex, Communication)

  • Help implement and maintain ESG reporting tools and dashboards

  • Conduct research on ESG regulations, standards (e.g., CSRD, ESRS), and best practices

  • Support internal and external ESG audits and assurance processes

Job requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or related field

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Team-oriented mindset and proactive attitude

  • Experience with ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, CSRD) is advantageous

  • Interest in sustainability and corporate responsibility

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
