Purpose of the position

As „Senior Group Controller“ you are part of the team „Group Controlling & Shareholder Reporting“ based in Intersnack Group’s Headquarters in Düsseldorf. You will act as a linking pin between the local finance functions in the countries and the Group in Düsseldorf.

As first point of contact for your selected country portfolio (Management Units) you act as sparring partner regarding various financial topics and at the same time take advantage of the company’s flat hierarchy and directly join the Board-to-Board Meetings between the Group Board and the Management Units.

The functional responsibility of this role lies especially in the area of Capital Expenditure processes (CapEx) for major investment projects as well as business partnering for the Supply Chain and Logistics function.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Group Board by providing transparency on all relevant financial KPI’s to steer the business

  • Collaborating closely with the Finance Directors of the Management Units and other senior leaders on all financial matters and providing independent support

  • Preparing, following-up on, and participating in Board-to-Board meetings with the assigned companies, including monitoring the implementation of decisions

  • Contributing to the financial planning of the Intersnack Group (e.g. P&L, Capex planning) and being responsible for implementing the planning and forecasting processes between Management Units and Intersnack Group Headquarters

  • Being the key functional interface for all Group CapEx processes

    • Independently driving the system-supported annual CapEx planning and forecasting process including all communications

    • Proactively managing the Group approval process: Reviewing and evaluating CapEx proposals submitted by the Management Units and coordinating involved Group functions (Engineering, Procurement)

    • Functionally supporting the ongoing development of the group-wide CapEx tracking tool (Infor EPM)

  • Acting as a business partner for the Group Supply Chain & Logistics function

  • Serving as the Group’s point of contact for intercompany price calculations of our products

  • Involvement in due diligence, valuation, M&A, and integration projects, including project coordination

  • Coordinating the annual dividend payment process

Job requirements

Profile

  • University degree/diploma in business administration/MBA with a focus on controlling and/or finance.

  • Several years of experience in (international) controlling in FMCG companies

  • Experience in operational controlling required (ideally plant controlling or SC&L controlling) to act as a competent sparring partner for the Management Units and to understand the local processes

  • Experience in Group controlling preferred

  • Experience in dealing with senior management

  • Very good knowledge of management information systems

  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel and Power point) and advanced IT skills (e.g., Infor d/EPM, Qlik, Business Warehouse)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Team player and good stakeholder management

  • Assertive

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
