Job description
This is a key and pivotal role within the Research and Development department. It is aimed at developing and implementing a state-of-the-art specification’s structure. As part of our harmonisation agenda, we need to develop standard working procedures (SWPs) to leverage best practice and up the overall efficiency of the company. This enables Intersnack to secure and further strengthen it’s leading position in the global savoury snacks market.
In collaboration with other expert groups, the Business Process and Specifications Expert will develop and implement the standard work process. SWPs will lead to specifications that unambiguously describe the quality we need to create premium products. The standards are needed to meet consumer demands and are in accordance with our company policies. They are required from the raw materials we buy all the way up to the products we ship to our customers.
The holder of this position must be a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality and will provide support to category and local teams where necessary.
Responsibilities
As a Business Process & Specifications Expert, you will:
Lead harmonisation efforts by analysing our complex portfolio of materials, intermediates, and formulations, creating clear overviews and actionable reports
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a lean portfolio of high-quality specifications that meet consumer expectations and company policies
Develop and implement SWPs in partnership with specialists from various functions, ensuring consistency and efficiency
Work closely with IT teams to guarantee that specifications and ERP systems are fit for purpose
Drive continuous improvement of approval workflows and train product development, quality, and procurement teams on new processes
Champion best practices to enhance the capabilities of the global specifications community
Job requirements
Master’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology, Chemical Engineering - or equivalent work experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable insights
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and hands-on approach
Experience in training, coaching, and influencing multicultural, remote teams
Solid understanding of numerical and financial data
Fluent in English (additional languages within Intersnack are a plus but not mandatory)
